The Christian Guitarist

Another great Christian guitar wallpaper. “Praise Him with the Strings” —Psalm 150:4. Would be a fun exercise to find all the scriptures in the Bible relating to the guitar.

This is the song I’ve been learning to play this week with Eric (the guy in the video). It’s the Christian worship song, “How Great is Our God” by Chris Tomlin. The best part about it is, you just need four chords: G to Em to C to D and back to G. It’s taken about a week for me to play it without any buzz and without looking, but I’m about there. I’ll post a video in my learning Christian guitar journal when I’m ready.

Picking up a guitar and learning where and how to place my fingers, a guitar pick, figuring out where the notes and chords were and finally how to listen to others in a group I was trying to fit into were all part of being a true guitarist and musician. I became a disciple in the musician’s sense AS I PRACTICED.

Something the Lord has led me to share again and again over the past several years is that it is indeed practice that separates people who have music gear from actual musicians.
